Camping Alone on a Georgia Island, No Food, No Help — Catch & Cook
I spent two nights alone on a remote Georgia barrier island with no stores, and no food.
The only way in was by boat.
Everything I brought fit in a small backpack.
And the only thing I ate… was what I could catch.
This trip took me to Sapelo Island, a quiet stretch of coastline where time slows down and the tides decide everything. I fished from shore for redfish, sea trout, and whatever else would bite, set up a minimalist hammock camp, and cooked over an open fire.
No coolers.
No comfort food.
Just fishing, fire, and letting the island set the pace.
